    • Kristina Arjona (She/Her, They/Them) is a queer Latina director, intimacy coordinator, mental health coordinator, and former actress. They are a proud SAG-AFTRA member and a SAG-AFTRA accredited and certified Intimacy Coordinator through Intimacy Professionals Association. She is also a certified Mental Health Coordinator through the Association of Mental Health Coordination and is the Director of Research and Resource Development. Kristina received their BFA in Acting and BA in Theatrical Design & Production from Elon University and studied theatre at the Alabama School of Fine Arts High School in Birmingham, AL. Along with ongoing training in the quickly developing intimacy coordination and mental health coordinator fields, she is also Mental Health First Aid Certified and Psychological First Aid Certified.

      Kristina has worked in the southeastern film industry for over 12 years on both sides of the lens, and uses their unique skills and training to increase effective communication and safety for everyone involved. They developed the Color Code Protocol in 2016, a communication technique and safety standards for working with sensitive material in film, adapted with the help of the sex-positive community, and has spoken about set safety strategies involving intimacy work at universities and panels including the Atlanta Film Festival, Women in Film, Out on Film Festival, Actor Empowerment Summit, and the Women in Production Summit.

      The daughter of immigrants from Colombia and Germany, both sides of Kristina Adler Arjona's family got their US citizenship through the American Military. Kristina was born in Washington D.C. and has lived in North Carolina, New York, Alabama, and now Atlanta, GA. After her father left the military, he became a medical missionary and Kristina spent a good chunk of her childhood traveling the world and found storytelling to be the easiest way to connect. She began using performance techniques at a young age, particularly in China.

      Kristina owns the film production company Jump Cut Collective, where she directs and produces work that emphasizes women, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC artists in front and behind the camera. Her work has been showcased in festivals such as the Atlanta Film Festival, Sidewalk Film Festival, and Cucalorus Film Festival. She distributed her first feature, Christmas with Jerks, in 2024 and is in pre-production for her second feature, a dark comedy vampire film entitled Randy Mandy and the Curse of the Plaza Theatre.
