Biography

Lorenza Veronica was born in Turin, Italy and holds a degree in history of classic cinema. She is a classically-trained singer, a trained actress, and a songwriter. She moved to London, where she attended several renowned schools like LAMDA and RADA; before that she had studied with some of the most respected teachers, such as Anna Strasberg (getting closer to "the method" technique) and William Esper School in New York (focusing on the Meisner School). She is also a winner of a scholarship at the NYFA (musical theatre). She has the gift of comedy and she loves classic cinema: Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant, Billy Wilder, and Alfred Hitchcock are just some of the names she admires and loves. She is not "only" an actress; thanks to her formal university training, she acquired a complete, full understanding of the entire process of film production, from the early stages of writing the screenplay all the way through the acting method and choices, cinematography and lighting study, directorial requirements, and planning shoots. She is also a pro singer/songwriter; she has just finished working with award-winning producer Steve Booker (Mercy/Duffy, Love Me Again/John Newman etc). As an old-fashioned songwriter, her main influences are The Beatles, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Nirvana, and The Kinks. She wrote "Begging" and "What Can We Do" with Steve Booker; she wrote the rest herself, sometimes with just an iPad and a bad microphone, and sometimes with her previous band ("Salvation Army" EP). She is very fit, athletic, and good at sports; she used to be a professional athlete. She lives in London, England and Los Angeles, California.
