Friends Cast: Where The Actors Are Now
Image
The chemistry between the Friends cast, the love story between Chandler and Monica, and the debate about Ross and Rachel's breakup set the show apart from other sitcoms. The main Friends cast, including Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, marked their first major roles on the show and have since remained prominent figures in Hollywood. Matthew Perry's recent work includes writing a memoir about his journey toward sobriety, while Lisa Kudrow has continued with comedy roles but will explore other genres, such as horror, in upcoming projects. Where to Watch Powered by

The main Friends cast may not have become the icons that they are today had they not starred in one of the defining sitcoms of the '90s. The show tells the everyday stories of six good friends in their twenties who live in New York City and talk about their problems in their apartments and favorite coffee shop,...

Jeopardy! (1984)
‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Upset Laura Coates Didn’t Guest Host After Alex Trebek Named Her as Potential Successor
Jeopardy! (1984)
Long before “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek’s death, conversations were swirling about who might replace him after his time on the iconic quiz show. Among the names Trebek himself recommended was CNN’s Laura Coates — and people are now furious she wasn’t given a chance.

Though Trebek first mentioned Coates as a potential successor back in 2018, two years before he died, “Jeopardy!” fans resurfaced the moment on Thursday amid heightening controversy surrounding Trebek’s actual successor, Mike Richards. On Wednesday, The Ringer reported that on multiple episodes of his 2013 podcast “The Randumb Show,” Richards “repeatedly used offensive language and disparaged women’s bodies.”

Following the news of Richards’ past offensive comments, some felt that allowing him to take over as “Jeopardy!” host would be “a slap in the face to Alex Trebek’s legacy.” Others took the opportunity to remember Trebek’s suggestion of Coates, angered at the fact...

Upcoming Documentary Will Give Reggie Bush’s Side Of The Story In USC Sports Scandal
Image
Star running back Reggie Bush, who became one of college sports’ most controversial athletes and gave up his Heisman Trophy award in the midst of an NCAA investigation into USC’s football program, says he’s “finally ready to tell my story.”

He’ll get that opportunity in an upcoming documentary film announced Wednesday from Believe Entertainment Group and director Kirk Fraser (ESPN’s 30 for 30: Without Bias). Bush, who played for the Trojans from 2003-2005 under head coach Pete Carroll, will serve as an executive producer on the project.

The untitled film promises to detail “the incredible untold story that led to Bush being erased from the NCAA record books and the heartbreaking loss of his Heisman Trophy.” Bush voluntarily surrendered the trophy—the most coveted in college football—in 2010 after the NCAA determined that sports agents had secretly provided Bush and members of his family with cash, travel and other expenses,...

Reggie Bush Documentary Will Provide Fresh Look at USC College Football Scandal (Exclusive)
Image
Reggie Bush is ready to tell his side of the story in a new documentary from Believe Entertainment Group, the studio behind the Oscar-winning “Dear Basketball.”

Before he achieved NFL stardom as a running back for the New Orleans Saints, Bush was one of the top college football players in the country. But his time as one of the leading lights of USC football was marred by allegations that he and his family improperly received nearly $300,000 gifts while he was a student. As a penalty, Bush’s achievements on the field were erased from the NCAA record books and USC was forced to return his Heisman Trophy. Kirk Fraser (ESPN’s “30 for 30: Without Bias”) is set to direct the film, which will look at Bush’s role in leading USC to multiple national championships, as well as the scandal that overshadowed that legacy.

“Providing Reggie with the opportunity to tell his story,...

Pat Fiske’s advice to emerging documentary filmmakers
Pat Fiske.

After 45 years as a documentary filmmaker, Pat Fiske has some simple advice for aspiring practitioners: “Have many strings to your bow if you want to survive.”

The Us-born Fiske credits her multiple roles as a director, writer, producer, sound recordist and stills photographer for helping to sustain her career.

All that, plus she served as a documentary consultant at Sbs Independent and was co-head of the documentary department at Aftrs with Mitzi Goldman from 2002 to 2008.

The documentarian will be feted by her peers at an event hosted by the Australian Documentary Forum (OzDox) at the Aftrs Theatre on Wednesday November 13.

OzDox initiated the annual celebration with posthumous salutes to cinematographer Tony Wilson and filmmaker Dennis O’Rourke, followed by the very much alive Martha Ansara and Curtis Levy.

Speakers on the night will include Documentary Australia Foundation CEO Goldman, who says: “Pat is a legend – she’s supported so many,...
