"I'm gonna take you down. The both of you." Trinity Creative Partnership + 101 Films have released the official US trailer for Code of Silence, a British crime thriller arriving on VOD in the US this December. Also known as Krays: Code of Silence, the film already opened in the UK a year ago, but it didn't make any noise. Eric Roberts in Sensations (1994)
Eugene Simon Can Sense Others in Sci-Fi Mystery 'Sensation' Trailer
Eric Roberts in Sensations (1994)
"I will teach you the most amazing things." Vertical Ent. has released the official trailer for Sensation, a sci-fi mystery thriller from filmmaker Martin Grof arriving right at the end of this year. Haven't heard much about this, another intriguing indie sci-fi that seems to be tearing off more than it can chew. When a lowly postman is inducted into a top-secret superhuman DNA program at a research facility, it's revealed that he'll be able to receive, control + send data based on the senses of others. As his training unfolds, strange and unsettling occurrences begin as he's placed in bizarre scenarios that make him question his reality. Eugene Simon and Emily Wyatt star, with Jennifer Martin and Alastair G. Cumming. From this trailer, it seems like a remix of Inception plus X-Men. Always with a nefarious businessman trying to keep it a secret. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Martin Grof's Sensation,...

US Hollywood Int'l Golden Film Awards
Sensation review – sensory hacking thriller comes on like a Tesco Value Matrix
US Hollywood Int'l Golden Film Awards
You’ll need superhuman DNA, like protagonist Andrew, to understand this convoluted, untidy sci-fi conspiracy yarn

This sci-fi-laced British thriller, from Czech director Martin Grof, aims for lofty metaphysical heights but trips over its own feet. Next to the films it draws from, it’s like a Tesco Value version of The Matrix, or as if Inception was taking place in the mind of a lobotomy patient. On a tiny budget, it’s no disgrace to fall short of these illustrious inspirations, but Sensation never recovers from the fact that Grof – co-writing with Magdalena Drahovska – seems unable to tidily convey its central premise.

Looking to delve into his family history, postman Andrew (Game of Thrones’ Eugene Simon) has his DNA sequenced – but is told that he is part of an elite cohort of humans with hyper-acute sensory perception. Arm-twisted into joining a training group of similarly gifted individuals at a country house retreat,...

Image
Exclusive: Robyn Lively is set to play Sara Bellum and Tom Kenny will reprise his role as the Narrator in the CW’s live-action reboot pilot Powerpuff (fka The Powerpuff Girls).

Written by Diablo Cody and Heather Regnier and directed by Maggie Kiley based on the original Cartoon Network animated series created by Craig McCracken, Powerpuff follows Blossom (Chloe Bennet), Bubbles (Dove Cameron) and Buttercup (Yana Perreault), who used to be America’s pint-sized superheroes. Now they’re disillusioned twentysomethings who resent having lost their childhood to crimefighting. Will they agree to reunite now that the world needs them more than ever?

Lively’s Sara Bellum is a warm and witty career woman who has a complicated romantic history with Drake. Always a friend to the Powerpuff Girls, she has remained close to them since childhood. The role was voiced by Jennifer Martin in the original series.

Special DNA to Control Other's Senses in Sci-Fi 'Sensation' Trailer
Alastair G. Cumming, Brian Theodore Ralph, Alex Reid, Paul Coster, Eugene Simon, Anil Desai, Maggie Turner, Richard Goble, Kai Francis Lewis, Emily Wyatt, Jennifer Martin, Bethan Wright, and Lorraine Tai in Sensation (2021)
"Are you ready for the next part of your training?" GROFIlm has released an official trailer for a peculiar indie sci-fi thriller titled Sensation, the latest from filmmaker Martin Grof. This April protect your DNA. When a lowly postman is inducted into a top-secret superhuman DNA program at a research facility, it's revealed that he'll be able to receive, control and send information based on the senses of others. Described as "David Cronenberg meets Tenet", though this trailer doesn't really have that kind of vibe. Sensation stars Eugene Simon (seen in "Game of Thrones"), Emily Wyatt, Jennifer Martin, Alastair G. Cumming, Anil Desai, and Bethan Wright. This is another film that thinks it's smarter than it is, with a cool setup that doesn't have much else to offer. There have been plenty of other better DNA-editing films made before. Here's the official US trailer (+ poster) for Martin Grof's Sensation, direct from YouTube: Andrew,...
