One Curious Zombie Leaps To The Rescue In New Day Of The Dead: Bloodline Clip
A twisted, cold-hearted monster features in this newly-released clip for Day of the Dead: Bloodline – and we’re not referring to the undead.

In fact, it’s a reanimated zombie that winds up saving the day, as Sophie Skelton’s heroine comes face-to-face with a sexual harasser (John Schaech) named Max. What follows is an unnerving exchange between Skelton and Schaech’s respective survivors, before the latter makes an unwanted advance.

Whether intentional or not, this Bloodline clip, one which arrives on the eve or release, appears to be ripped straight from the headlines, with the only difference being that a flesh-munching zombie arrives just in time to thwart an attempted rape. Because who said the undead always have to be portrayed as the bad guys?

Story-wise, Day of the Dead: Bloodline takes place in a “post-apocalyptic, zombie-filled world where a former med school student is tormented by a dark figure from her past.

New Day Of The Dead: Bloodline Poster References Romero’s 1985 Original
Thanks to Bloody Disgusting, we now have a brand new, retro-styled poster for Hèctor Hernández Vicens’ Day of the Dead: Bloodline. As you can see in the gallery down below, it shows off Johnathon Schaech’s character Max, a half human and half zombie inspired by Bub from the 1985 original, and also uses the font from that film, too, giving it a rather old school vibe.

It’s a slick piece of art, all things considered, which only makes it all the more unfortunate that this seems to be yet another pointless remake. Perhaps if it was made with a reason, like bringing George A. Romero’s original script to life, which was cut for budgetary reasons in the 80s, I could understand the need for this project to exist. But that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Instead, this is the third or so interpretation of the 1985 classic,...

Day of the Dead: Bloodline Trailer Reimagines Romero's Classic
Johnathon Schaech, Jeff Gum, Sophie Skelton, and Marcus Vanco in Day of the Dead: Bloodline (2017)
The first trailer for Day of the Dead: Bloodline is here. The original Day of the Dead is one of the most classic zombie movies ever made and remains one of director George A. Romero's finest moments. So the idea of remaking it, or "reimagining" it, is considered sacred ground for many. If you were to call this movie something else, it might look like a pretty fun zombie movie. But this is delicate glass and it's going to be tough not to take that into account.

Day of the Dead: Bloodline looks like it will take the very basic premise of the original, but it's going to add a lot of its own flare. We have some of the imagery needed to call it Day of the Dead. There's an underground bunker, plenty of zombies and Bub. A new version of Bub, but Bub the zombie is still here.

Day of the Dead: Bloodline, director Hèctor Hernández Vicens’ remake of George A. Romero’s 1985 classic Day of the Dead, is quickly approaching and the marketing machine is now starting to kick into gear.

Yesterday, we got to see some awesome new images from the film and today, IGN has the full trailer to show off (check it out down below). It introduces Max, the movie’s version of Bub who’s supposed to be part human and part zombie, while we’re also treated to plenty of gory violence. Which means hopefully we’ll be getting some neat new zombie effects, even if they’re not the work of Tom Savini.

It’s still a bit too early to make the call on how this one will turn out,...

Day Of The Dead: Bloodline Gets Three Rotten New Images
Thanks to Bloody-Disgusting, we now have three brand new images from the upcoming remake of George A. Romero’s Day of the Dead, entitled Day of the Dead: Bloodline, which is set in a post-apocalyptic, zombie-filled world where a former med school student is tormented by a dark figure from her past. The only thing is, he’s a half-human, half-zombie hell-bent on destroying her world.

As you can see in the gallery below, one of the new images shows a rotten, stitched-up corpse rising up from an autopsy table, while we also have a look at a zombie with a very gaunt, skull-like appearance, and two human characters. Nothing here is terribly revealing, but it’s still nice to get another glimpse of the pic as many are curious to see how it’ll stack up to the film it’s remaking.

First Look At Day Of The Dead Remake Revealed
First Look At Day Of The Dead Remake Revealed 1 of 3

Earlier today, Saban Films gave us our first look at their Day of the Dead remake, which is going by the title Day Of The Dead: Bloodline.

Up above, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse at one of the zombies set to appear in the flick along with the official poster. Neither give us very much to go on, unfortunately, but it’s nice that the studio is finally peeling back the lid on the pic as we’ve been waiting to see something from it for a while now.

Equipped with the tagline “Every day has its end,” the one-sheet teases that Bloodline will be a “bold reimagining of the George A. Romero classic.” Whether it’ll be more positively received than 2008’s remake remains to be seen,...

Day of the Dead: Bloodline First Look and Release Date Revealed
John Paul in Le Jour des morts-vivants (1985)
Saban Films has released the first poster for their Day of the Dead remake, which has been titled Bloodline. We also have the first image from the upcoming remake, along with the release date. Horror legend George A. Romero, the man responsible for creating the zombie genre as we know it, passed away this year, but his legacy is going to live on for many years to come. For better or for worse, that means some of his classic movies are going to be remade. Or in this case, "reimagined." While Bloodline isn't necessarily being billed as a Day of the Dead remake, that seems to be what we're getting here.

The Day of the Dead: Bloodline poster itself, if you had no idea it was related to George A. Romero's classic, is pretty effective. The red lettering for the title is bunched off to the left and the...

Bub Returns in First Look at Day of the Dead Remake
John Paul in Le Jour des morts-vivants (1985)
With most of the great horror movies already remade, we are entering a second wave of reboots that bring back some classics in the genre. Zombie maestro George A. Romero already had his seminal 1985 trilogy ending thriller Day of the Dead remade in 2008, which arrived as a standalone story that wasn't a true follow-up to Zack Snyder's 2004 Dawn of the Dead remake, which in turn really wasn't a sequel to Tom Savini's 1990 Night of the Living Dead remake. Now, we're getting a second Day of the Dead remake, and it doesn't appear to be connected to any of the movies that came before it either. But it will bring back an iconic character from Romero's oeuvre, sort of, and today we have a first look.

This sneak peek at the new Day of the Dead comes courtesy of Bloody Disgusting. The images show Johnathon Schaech as Bub,...

First Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort Teaser Attacks!
We live in a world in which there will soon be six Wrong Turn movies. Ponder that if you will. That's amazing since the only deformed killer who survived in the original was Three Finger. So is this another prequel? Looks like it. I think. Does it matter?

Frightfest 2014: ‘Wrong Turn 6′ Review
Stars: Sadie Katz, Anthony Ilott, Aqueela Zoll, Rollo Skinner, Roxanne Pallett, Chris Jarvis, Luke Cousins, Rhys Coiro, Asen Asenov, Danko Jordanov, Billy Ashworth | Written by Frank H. Woodward | Directed by Valeri Milev

Who new that some 11 years after the series started Wrong Turn 6 would come along to cement the franchise as the modern successor to Tobe Hopper’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Yes the films started out (and some would say continued) as sub-par rip-offs of all the backwoods slashers that had come before it Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort (to give the film it’s complete title) builds on what has come before, adding much-needed story and mythos to a series that – in its last two entries – were little more than effects show pieces. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the previous two films, which themselves rebooted the franchise in a “different” direction but this sixth film (really, I...
