Andrea Fantauzzi was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, but was raised in Kansas City, Missouri. A graduate of The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, The Second City and the Owner and Founder of the production company Fanta-Zee, LLC., she has a strong background in improvisation, acting (comedy and drama), writing, directing and producing.

She began her film and television career at the age of 14, but was seen on the stage from an earlier age. Her professional debut came at the age of 12 in "The Wizard of Oz" at Starlight Theatre in Kansas City and since that time, she has continued to earn much success in that realm. Having originated multiple roles, she is most well known for originating Teen Fiona in the Theatre for Young Audiences version of "Shrek the Musical" and Ann - 18 in "And other fairy tales" premiering in New York.

In 2014, she received critical acclaim for her title performance in the coming of age drama Adira (2014) - "Actress Andrea Fantauzzi delivered one of the best performances I have seen..." (Jake's Movie Review), which was selected by Project Greenlight in 2014 as one of the top 200 indie films in the United States. Fantauzzi is also notable for her work in Quality of Life (2014) sharing the screen with Kim Rhodes (Supernatural (2005); La vie de Palace de Zack et Cody (2005)) along with her supporting lead role as Sarah Ellington in the dystopian drama, Black Zone (2025) which received a limited theatrical release with AMC Theatres in Los Angeles, Atlanta and Kansas City; Fantauzzi is one of two fan favorites according to audience polls.

Both an award-winning Actor and Director, she is also a Writer and Producer. Her directorial debut came with her very well received film Letters from a Father (2017), which premiered at the Kansas International Film Festival back in 2017. Shortly after, Fantauzzi became a multi-award winning director with dozens of awards and nominations in various categories. She began her production career at 19, with the creation of the Custom Reel Division that is now apart of her production company; Hala Finley (Papa a un plan (2016), We Can Be Heroes (2020)) is her most well known client. She later worked on Season 4 of both NBC's Blacklist (2013) and FXX's The Americans (2013) while attending The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Other shows include: NBC's The Voice (2011) and MTV's Broke A$$ Game Show (2015). Her new film, Event Virus (2024), is currently on film circuit and has received awards including: H.G. Wells Award for Best Short Film at the Los Angeles Sci-Fi Film Festival and Best Director, Best Producer, and Best Sci-Fi at the Rome International Movie Awards.

Joining The Second City back in early 2018, she made her writing debut on the stage with the sketch show "Me, Myself & Die". She is now currently producing two In-Development feature films, a television series, and is most well-known as a Producer for work in the feature film Black Zone (2025).

Fantauzzi works as an Actor, Producer, Director, Writer, Editor, 1st Assistant Director, 2nd Assistant Director, Line Producer, UPM, and Script Supervisor; her most esteemed quality is her critical eye to detail both in front of and behind the camera.
