Louise Heem started her international career as an actress and director in theatre in 2007 and in film in 2011.
Former language teacher and protection officer in charge of the instruction of asylum requests, Louise has lived in about 50 countries. Interpreter in French, English, Spanish and Italian -mainly as a community interpreter- she currently learns modern standard Arabic as well as dialects (mainly the Palestinian one).
Nourished by her various experiences and knowledge acquired in the field, the projects in which she participates are committed and address the themes of human rights, racism, discrimination, homophobia, separation, family, war and exile.
As a filmmaker, her first two films El día de la virgen (2016) and Juan (2021) filmed in France and Paraguay have been screened in more than 30 countries in festivals (she received 7 awards), cultural centers, cinemas, etc. In 2025 she finished Victoire.
