Francisco Soto Jr., a.k.a. Frank Soto Jr., is a Puerto Rican actor from Miami, Florida. Born to carpenter/janitor parents, Frank's upbringing was anything but easy. Known for his dedication to the craft and his ability to bring raw honesty and layered emotion to every role. His work spans both film and television, with notable credits including Haunted, Happy Hour, In the Weeds, and Confinement, as well as appearances on acclaimed series such as Full Beat (HBO Max), MacGyver (CBS), and Cobra Kai (Netflix).
Frank's passion for acting began early on, as a child glued to whatever movie mom and dad brought home. It wasn't until later where his love for acting was recognized, rooted in his years as a Thespian during high school. There, he would perform his very first stage play as Mulberry Foxhill in the Short Play/Melodrama "She Was Only a Farmers Daughter". He would go on to compete at the state level and was honored with the Critics' Choice Award for performance three years in a row-a recognition that confirmed his path as a storyteller.
He began formal training at the Performers Studio Workshop in Tampa, where he studied the Eric Morris Process, a method embraced by respected actors like Johnny Depp. Frank then expanded his range with improvisation, diving into the UCG improvisation method under the guidance of Ricky Wayne, Patrick McInnis, and Lorraine Montgomery. He continues to evolve his craft at Station 12 Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he studies method acting, Meisner technique, and advanced improvisation.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Frank brings cultural nuance and versatility to his performances. Off-screen, he's passionate about fitness, including weightlifting, cardiovascular training, Ninja Warrior-style obstacle courses, and stunt work-activities that help keep him physically and mentally sharp for demanding roles.
Frank is committed to storytelling that resonates, challenges, and inspires-always striving to grow, both as an artist and as a human being.
