Biography

He was born in 1986 to State Theatre artists Hakki Ergok and Hatice Aslan in Izmir.

After elementary school, he was accepted to Hacettepe Uni. State Conservatory Percussion Section in Ankara.

In 2000, he moved to Istanbul. He studied Percussion in M.S.G.S.U State Conservatory.

In summer of 2003, he completed Arts&Crafts certificate program with an honors degree from Wellington College, in Berkshire, England.

In 2004, he studied painting and fresco restoration in Istituto per l'Arte e il restauro - Palazzo Spinelli in Florence.

Within this period, he practiced many different professions such as program manager and DJ at Radio Contact, bar supervisor at The House Café, TV host at Digiturk S'nek TV.

In 2007, he studied Graphic Design at M.S.G.S.U. After graduation, he completed his internship as a Junior Art Director at Alemetifarika Advertisement Agency.

During that time period, he worked as an Organizer, PR Manager and Brand Consultant for many known establishments such as Flavio, W Hotel Minion, Garajistanbul, Diskotek and Dirty-Beat.

He also working as a DJ under the name 2GET4 and himself in many well known clubs such as House of Yes, Garaj Istanbul, Indigo, Minimuzikhol and brand organizations such as Versace, Tommy Hilfiger, Saat&Saat, Soho House, New York Fashion Week and Mercedens-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul.

In 2013, he worked as Art Director in a movie named 'BASKIN' directed by Can Evrenol. Film's Art Direction was praised as Disgusting, Disorienting and Brilliant by Eli Roth. BASKIN won many awards in many movie festivals like Film4 Frightfest London, Fantastic Fest Austin TX, SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival Catalonia.

Same year, he also worked as an Associate Art Director in movie 'Panzehir' (Antidote) starred by Emin Boztepe and Cuneyt Arkin, directed by Alper Caglar.

In mid-October 2014 he founded a restaurant / gallery named UNION 22 in Istanbul.

Currently, he continues his artworks in his studio in New York, and wooden cabin atelier built by himself in Istanbul.

He also continues his music productions under the name 2GET4 and Ekin Ergok.
