Diogo Sales

Diogo Sales is an Afro-Indigenous Brazilian actor from working-class Rio de Janeiro, where he developed a passion for storytelling, with the influence of his father through percussion and Capoeira. At 18, he joined the renowned community theatre group Nós do Morro, beginning his journey in performance by blending physicality with cultural heritage.
In 2009, Diogo moved to London, where his stage career flourished. He trained at the Identity School of Acting (IDSA), founded by Femi Oguns, and earned an MA in Screen Acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He worked under the mentorship of Cicely Berry at the Royal Shakespeare Company, earning acclaim for bold physical performances in The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Barbican) and Amazonia (Young Vic).
On screen, Diogo played a recurring Dothraki Bloodrider in Season 6 of Game of Thrones (HBO), acting opposite Emilia Clarke, and portrayed Binho in Carcereiros (Jailers), an award-winning Brazilian prison drama. In 2022, he starred as series regular Nardinho in Headless Chickens (Pollos sin Cabeza) for HBO Max, produced by Álex de la Iglesia, expanding his profile across the Spanish-speaking world.
