Sophie McIntosh, a dynamic actress and dancer, emerged from Auckland, New Zealand, with a passion for performance that sparked in early childhood. She began dancing at three, mastering classical ballet, contemporary, and jazz, while competing on national and international stages. Her talent earned her fourth place at the 2012 National Young Performer of the Year Award and a semi-finalist spot at the prestigious Genée International Ballet Competition. After graduating from the Philippa Campbell School of Ballet in 2013, she secured a full scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School in New York, where her skill also won her offers from the New Zealand School of Dance and London's Rambert School. Yet, it was during her final high school year that Sophie, sometimes credited as Sophie C. McIntosh, discovered her love for acting, landing the role of Honour Aleni on New Zealand's beloved series Shortland Street. This pivotal moment steered her toward film and television, where she shone in projects like Brave New World, Bad Sisters, and the action-packed No Way Up. Beyond acting, she has danced professionally, appeared in music videos for artists like Jarryd James, and even performed for the English Premier Football League.
