- Barcelona (1989), Joan-Marc Zapata graduated from the University of Girona with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations and completed a Master's degree in film directing at the Bande a Part school in Barcelona. Later, he went to Los Angeles, California. It was there that he began directing his first projects. Since 2011, he has directed multiple short films that have been awarded in different places around the world. Among them, stand out the awards of "The Amazing Thailand Film Challenge" in which more than 500 Projects took part.
His work, Bright Side in D Minor, a short film shot entirely in Switzerland that was awarded at the last "Semana del cine de Medina del Campo" Festival.
