Trailer Park Terror Erupts in Sean Cronin’s ‘Bogieville’

British filmmaker Sean Cronin sinks his teeth once more into the horror genre with Bogieville, a southern gothic vampire tale that makes its UK digital debut today, courtesy of Reel 2 Reel Films. Following festival premieres at Cannes and FrightFest, the film is now available to audiences eager for a fresh injection of creature-feature dread.

Set deep in the sweltering American South, Bogieville follows a couple on the run who find themselves ensnared in far more than a case of bad timing. Ham, played by Arifin Putra (The Raid 2), and Jody, portrayed by Eloise Lovell Anderson (Villian), stumble into an abandoned trailer park seemingly frozen in decay. Lured in by its eerie caretaker Crawford (Jonathan Hansler), they are warned to remain inside after dark. Naturally, they don’t.

The highly anticipated southern-fried vampire road movie Bogieville is set for a June release! Directed by British filmmaker and actor Sean Cronin, the new horror film has been picked up by Level 33 Entertainment for a North American release on June 3, 2025.

Bogieville unfolds in a decaying American trailer park where a young couple, Ham and Jody, are enticed to stay by the unsettling caretaker, Crawford. What they don’t realize is that Crawford is the guardian of the park’s grotesque residents—a clan of feral, hillbilly vampires.

Indonesian film star Arifin Putra (“The Raid 2”) and emerging actor Eloise Lovell Anderson (“Villain”) have wrapped principal photography on Sean Cronin’s vampire road movie “Bogieville.”

Written by Henry P. Gravelle (“The Over Easy Courthouse Cafe”), the film follows a couple on the run who come across a derelict trailer park, Bogieville. Convinced to stay by the sinister caretaker, they soon learn that he is a guardian to the residents of Bogieville, a pack of vampires.

The cast also includes Cronin himself as the lead vampire, Sarina Taylor (“Solitary”), Poppie Jae Hughes (“Our Kid”), Daniel P. Lewis (“Wuthering Heights”), Andrew Lee Pots (“The Crown”) and Katie Sheridan (“The Royal Nanny”).

Roger Taylor interview: The Queen drummer has written the soundtrack for British film Solitary
Tomorrow night at the Genesis Cinema in Mile End sees the UK gala screening of a new lowish-budget British film called Solitary, directed by Sasha Krane, the nephew of Method acting guru, Lee Strasberg. Shot in Southsea and Portsmouth (with some scenes filmed inside Kingston Prison), it's a dark psycho-drama about a young woman trying to reconnect with her estranged family and exposing some painful secrets in the process. The cast includes Anita Dobson from EastEnders as well as boxer Joe Calzaghe in a small role as a prison guard. Also appearing is Sarina Taylor. Her husband, Roger Taylor, drummer and vocalist of rock band Queen, has executive produced the movie and written its soundtrack.
