Shadi Karamroudi is an Iranian director, producer, and actress. Her latest short film, It Turns Blue, won the Grand Jury Award at the SXSW Film Festival in 2023 and has garnered awards at prestigious festivals such as the Busan International Short Film Festival, Zinebi Film Festival, and Izmir Film Festival.
She is also known for her supporting role in the feature film Without Her, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in 2022. Her performance received widespread acclaim from prominent media outlets, earning her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Fair Film Festival in 2022.
In 2024, she was invited to participate in the Berlinale Talent Camp and Script Station with her debut feature film script, I Can Hear You Whispering. That same year, she was honored as a recipient of the 2024 Academy Gold Fellowship for Women, as part of the Academy's global talent development and inclusion initiatives.
