David Oulton is a Canadian film and television producer, actor, and talk show host. He has appeared in numerous productions, from independent films to network television series. Additionally, he is the host of Face to Face with David (2020), a weekly talk show featuring both celebrity guests and persons of interest from several different backgrounds. He entered in the industry under the advice of Judi Dench, and subsequently studied screen acting at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. Through an introduction by Corbin Bernsen, Oulton was legally adopted as an adult by executive film producer Lisa McGillivray. The story of the adoption and subsequent events was the focus of the 2018 Shaw Spotlight documentary Choosing Happiness (2018).
In addition to appearing on screen, Oulton has produced several unscripted series. His projects have aired on major broadcasters, including OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, Slice, OUTtv, Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video and countless others.
