It’s taken two episodes to find out what would happen to Eva after learning she was an agent of the Eastern Federation. The Ark season 2, episode 9 delivers some answers as Ark-1 deals with the arrival of an Eastern Federation ship.
Caution: This post contains Spoilers from The Ark season 2, episode 9, "Cycle of Violence"
The end of the previous episode left us with the threat of an Eastern Federation ship dropping out of Ftl and aiming weapons at an Ark-1 ship. The new episode, "Cycle of Violence," grapples with that problem, and a bit with the Eva problem as well.
The Ark season 2, episode 9 review: The Gsa isn’t necessarily all good
It’s easy to think that the side we’re on will always do the right thing, but that’s not always the case. As Garnet and others try to deal with the ship, they realize that...

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer on The Ark Season 2 Episode 7 because everyone’s skeletons are coming out of the closets.
If there is one thing you can count on when you keep people in close quarters for an extended period, there will be drama.
The creative team behind The Ark is starting to once again utilize the premise of “a snake in the hen house.”
(Aleksandar Letic/Ark TV Holdings, Inc./Syfy)
It’s the strongest arc to take on and will yield the most character growth and plot progression for the story.
Since its start, Season 2 has seen one external issue or problem after another. It is refreshing to see more internal struggles rather than another space catastrophe.
The Ark can only pull at that thread so many times before the premise becomes stale and boring.
The best thing the hands behind The Ark can do...

The start of The Ark season 2, Episode 6 focuses on the successes of the previous episode. It doesn’t take long for Ark-1 to get waylaid on their mission to find a new home, though. This time they get a distress call from Ark-8.

I will say that I love how the relationships among the Ark-1 crew have grown. In the recap of events from before, we get that reminder that Spencer Lane hates clones, which means he hated Sharon Garnet at first. However, we see at the start of this episode how much he has come to respect and cherish her, making sure she gets to sit in her new Captain’s chair before doing anything else.
We also got to see how Sharon cherishes everyone on the team. With the news that there are more solo cabins from Ark-...

"We found it! We found our home." Signature Entertainment in the UK has revealed a new official trailer for The Emigrants, a Swedish drama adapted from a novel about Swedish immigrants moving to America in the 1800s. The film already opened last year in Sweden, and will be available to watch in the UK in August, but there's no US date yet. Perhaps because this one is about how America isn't exactly the "idyllic paradise promised" and land of dreams, especially for immigrants. And who in America wants to see a movie about that?! Ha. Based on the book by Vilhelm Moberg (published in 1949) depicting a few people emigrating from Sweden to the United States in the 1840 - early 1850. Starring Sofia Helin, Gustaf Skarsgard, Tove Lo, Lisa Carlehed, and Díana Bermudez. This is an epic trailer with that M83 song, plus all the sweeping Terrence Malick-esque cinematography. But it's...
