Former "Batwoman" actress Ruby Rose stars in the new action thriller "The Doorman", co-starring Jean Reno ("Leon The Professional") directed by Ryuhei Kitamura:

Horror-on-Sea 2018: Weekend Two Report
The Horror-on- Sea Festival is Southend’s annual horror event, which showcases the talents of Independent filmmakers, through shorts and features over two weekends. This is the 6th year it has been running and this is my review of the festivals second weekend

Day 1: Friday 26th January – Double Feature 19:00pm

Feature – Mortuary Massacre

When Detective Giger (Todd Brown) attends a mortuary regarding several mysterious deaths which occurred on Halloween night, the local Mortician (Carl Crew) describes the backstory of three of the victims. Christopher James Miller delivers an experimental horror film which has some surreal visual shots to get into the psyche of the characters. Utilising his experience in special effects, this is one for the gore hounds, with plenty of visual gore, which is delivered with plenty of tongue and cheek humour.

If You Play with Fire You Get Burned in this Trailer for Psychological Thriller Charismata
A few details have emerged for directors Andy Collier and Toor Mian's Charismata. A trailer, movie poster and stills were released this week. The material shows a beleaguered detective and a series of grisly murderers. The killer turns his sights on Rebecca (Sarah Beck Mather), when she gets too close. Charismata was shot and is set within London, England. As well, the film stars: Jamie Satterthwaite and Andonis Anthony. The latest material on Charismata is hosted here. More story details have been posted at the Loose Canon Films' website. The synopsis talks of a rookie detective, a ground down police force and a game of cat and mouse. Under all of the pressure, Rebecca begins to lose her grip on reality. Even her own soul might be at stake. The film was completed this past May. Certified as 18+ in the United Kingdom, there are no current release plans for North America.
