Tennessee, Corey graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a degree in Finance before launching
a career in banking. However, it was in Human Resources-helping people navigate challenges, conflicts,
and career decisions-where he found his true calling: understanding the complexities of human nature.
That same passion for people and their internal struggles became the foundation of his writing. After years in HR leadership, Corey turned to screenwriting as a way to process and share the truths he encountered daily. He honed his craft through self-study, screenwriting competitions, and feedback from industry professionals-embracing the challenge of storytelling with the same analytical problem-solving he once applied to workplace dynamics.
In 2014, his first script, Lyfe's Journey, premiered on UPtv with additional airings on aspire TV. For Corey, writing is more than just storytelling-it is his purpose. It is the mark he wants to leave on the world, a way to help people find meaning, resolution, and even escape through the power of narrative.
