Biography

    • Martin W Payne is an English character and improvisational actor who has performed in Hotel Interactive Entertainment (murder mystery weekends) for over 25 years, and started screen acting for UK Independent and Student Film Makers ten years ago. His first acting work for screen was in August 2014 for Invasion of the Not Quite Dead (2022), since when he has extended his acting filmography to over 100 credits, including work for Mj Dixon, Sam Mason-Bell, and Hill Burton.

Since moving to film acting, Martin has been a leading character in over 30 feature films, with his most recent appearances being in Video Shop Tales of Terror (2023) (TIS Films), Mask of the Devil (2022) (Ash Mountain Films), Tales from the Great War (2023) (Ciao Handy), Monstrous Disunion (2021) (TrashArts/HB Films), I Scream on the Beach! (2020) (TIS Films), Pandamonium (2020) (Mycho Entertainment) and The Last Sex Lies & Depravity (2019) (Wade Radford Presents). Martin's current films in production include Mosaic (2024) (TIS Films) and others.

Martin was born in Barking, London, UK, and generally works in the horror genre (because "it is just so much fun!") and was awarded Best Actor at the 2020 Brighton Rocks International Film Festival for his work in two horror films, Philia (2021) and "Tales From The Grave: Gray Haze" (2020).

Trivia

  • Martin's role as Alistair Marks in The Last Sex Lies & Depravity (2019) earned the feature film a BBFC 18 Rating, with the explanation "An abusive husband forces his wife to submit to sex against her consent. This is part of a pattern of domestic abuse in which the man has subjected his wife and son to physical violence and humiliation. A scene of domestic abuse features aggressive very strong language directed at a woman as she is attacked by her husband who punches her in the face and stomach.".
