Kabir Kapoor studied Cinema at Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) specializing in Screenplay Writing & Direction. Thereafter, he went to Mumbai & assisted in Ad Films with a Top Ad Filmmaking company at that time.
He was always interested in the intricacies of Filmmaking, so he joined Whistling Woods International (WWI) when it was new & played a role in designing & streamlining the curriculum there.
Today many of his students are doing well & some of them are big names (Shashank Khaitan, Abhishek Jain, Gujarati & Hindi Film Director, Sarvesh Mewara, Divyang Thakkar and many more) in the industry. Thereafter he taught & set-up many film schools all over India.
He made a Short Film "End of Love" which did well in good Festivals in France & Germany.
He was associate on a Film which featured Rajat Kapoor & Radhika Apte (X: Past is Present).
He likes to work with actors so he also did Casting, Kundan Shah's last film P Se PM Tak was cast by him. He has auditioned & promoted many actors who are stars in their own right today like Geetanjali Kulkarni, Jameel Khan, Gulshan Devaiah & Others. Needless to say that after so many years in the industry, he has made many friends & his colleagues are well established in the industry (Pubali Chaudhuri (Rock On!!, Kai Po Che!), Jyoti Kapoor (Badhai Ho!, Good Newwz), Rajshree Ojha (Aisha), Biplab Goswami (upcoming film with Aamir Khan Productions).
Since he has given 20 Years to Films & Film viewing, he has a huge understanding of Cinema & Web Series content, from World Cinema to Regional Films to Web Series, from leading OTT Platforms, he has seen it all & he has an extra edge in terms of understanding good content from the bad depending on the target audience.
He desires to take Cinema to greater heights both in terms of Content & Making with Economic Viability. He's completely immersed & has a 360 degree knowledge of Scripting, Directing & Production.
