Poonam Gurung is an Indian actress known for her versatile skills and diverse choices of films in different languages. She started her career with a bollywood film and best known for starring in regional movies like Nirontor, Khoj and Suspended Inspector Boro. She has also fetched critical optimism from doing short film like 'Chinese Whispers' and an unreleased feature film 'Uribo'.

Born in Nagaland, India, Poonam Gurung is a skilled martial artist and dancer. After proving her top notch acting skills in television and episodic she smoothly transitioned into feature films and web-series.

She is working as a primary cast for Gajendra Ahire's next 50th film which will be her Marathi debut. The film will also be a Hindi release. And soon to announce her second Assamese film directed by Kenny Basumatary that will start shooting by the end of this year.
