Phil Baker is an American film and television actor, known for his role as Jerry Morris in the film The Voices (2020), as well as a role in Between Worlds (2018) alongside Academy Award-winning actor Nicolas Cage.
Recent work includes Uber Eats "Caesar Salad Bowl" national commercial for the Super Bowl 2025, and a Super Bowl commercial for LCMC Health in New Orleans 2025. His appearance in County Rescue (2024) Season 2 for four episodes will be released on The Great American Family Channel and Great American Pure Flix in February of 2025.
He was born in Alabama. His father, Milford Baker, was a business owner and entrepreneur. His mother, Blanche Baker, worked as a beautician and teacher. He started performing at church and school, joined several musical groups, and eventually auditioned for and won the lead role of Conrad Birdie in the stage musical Bye Bye Birdie as a junior at Minor High School. The next year, he auditioned and won the lead role as George M. Cohan in the stage musical George M! After working in radio, TV, and video production during and after college at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, his life took a strange twist that landed him working as an air traffic controller in Memphis TN and Pensacola FL. Since retiring from the FAA, he has worked as a REALTOR®. Throughout the years, though, he has stayed involved in the entertainment industry, mostly as a voice talent, but he was invited to participate in acting classes with Jeremy London Arts Acting Studio, which motivated him to start auditioning for film roles, and kick-started his on-screen career. He recently appeared in a national commercial "Delivery" for Camping World.
Unfortunately, Phil's wonderful wife, Jayne, passed away after an extended illness. Phil & Jayne have two children and two precious grandchildren with whom he gets to spend a lot of time.
