And while the franchise currently doesn’t have an ongoing anime series, the Digimon franchise is very much active, with numerous non-anime projects being released. But, despite all of that, the highly-anticipated home release of last year’s hit film, Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning, which is set within the original universe and follows the 02 DigiDestined in a new adventure, has been announced for US fans – it is June 11, 2024!

It has been known for a while that the Blu-ray edition of the Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning movie will come out on May 29, 2024 in Japan, and while some fans had been worried about a potentially long(er) wait for the US release, we can confirm that the movie will be released not long after the Japanese edition. The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Kagekinoko's fantasy light novel series Party kara Tsuiho sareta Sono Chiyushi, Jitsu wa Saikyo ni Tsuki released a teaser trailer today during AnimeJapan 2024, announcing its upcoming October 2024 premiere. In addition to the previously-announced Kensho Ono (Tetsuya Kuroko in Kuroko's Basketball ) as the protagonist, Raust, and Kaori Maeda (Shizuku Osaka in Love Live! The official website of AnimeJapan 2024 revealed the line-ups for its main stages, Red, Blue and Green, on Jan 19, 2024.

AnimeJapan 2024 will take place at Tokyo Big Sight on March 23-24, 2024.

Both the original Japanese version and the English dub of The Eminence in Shadow's second season will simultaneously debut.

According to Anime News Network, both audio versions will become available on Hidive on Oct. 4. The announcement also confirms many returning English voice actors, with Adam Gibbs (My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu) reprising his role as protagonist Cid Kageno being the most notable. Other members of the dub's cast include Christina Kelly (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) as Alpha, Annie Wild (Call of the Night) as Beta, Elissa Cuellar (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) as Gamma, and Raven Troup (Farming Life in Another World) as Delta.

The premiere date for The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 is approaching, and a new promotional image teases what the dark fantasy isekai has in store.

Per Anime News Network, the key visual promises a story filled with action as it sees multiple characters wielding weapons. Moreover, it sees protagonist Cid Kagenou appropriately in the center with a brooding look on his face and a woman dramatically passed out in his arms.

However, the new image isn't the first look at the upcoming season fans of The Eminence in Shadow have received. Hidive, which will stream Season 2, dropped a trailer that spotlights that story's unique blend of comedy and over-the-top edginess. Moreover, a different trailer that was released earlier this year showcases the new season's main setting -- the darkly atmospheric Lawless City. It also introduces the location's three rulers: the Tyrant, the Progenitor Vampire and the Spirit Fox.
