Iqbal H Chowdhury is a Toronto-based Bangladeshi-Canadian writer-director. His debut feature film 'Boli' (The wrestler) won the top award ( New Currents Award) of Busan Film Festival 2023. Iqbal holds a post-graduate degree from Centennial College, Toronto in film production.The Department of Cinema and Media Studies at York University awarded him a fellowship (MA).
