At premiere of 'Get Out!'; a film about domestic abuse, to assist with The Bahamas's Crisis Center. 18th January, 2014.
Adam Nicholas Brown is a Bahamian actor, model, film director and founder of Adamvision Filmworks. He was born on January 18th, 1978, in Nassau, Bahamas, as the first born child of Michael and Valeria Brown. At the age of four, his parents got a divorce, so Adam and his younger sister April, were raised by their mother. Knowing that his back was against the wall, that finances were limited and that he wanted to explore the world and further his education in North America, Adam worked tirelessly to excel in and dominate almost every academic discipline he undertook, as well as track & field, one of his greatest passions. He fervently believed this would enable him to someday get a full scholarship and later joined the Royal Bahamas Police Force Cadet Corps., which provided him with additional tutoring in Mathematics, English, Law, as well as fostering his love for humanity through community service, which is an integral part of the program. Eventually, Adam became Head Boy of his local high school and after numerous academic, athletic and social accomplishments, in addition to being interviewed LIVE on national television by The Bahamas's Director of Education for his many achievements, in 1995, he was selected to represent The Bahamas as the sole recipient of the United World Colleges Scholarship at the prestigious Lester B. Pearson United World College of the Pacific in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, where he attained his International Baccalaureate Diploma. After graduation, Adam again represented his country at The World Scholar-Athlete Games in 1997 as a scholar-actor and a year later at the inaugural Renaissance Games held at Bates College, both held by the Institute for International Sport. He continued his education at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and eventually completed his studies at the small, highly selective Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut, earning his Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy.

Throughout college, due to his love for science, helping people and his passion for justice, he was a philosophy major, but was also a pre-med and pre-law student. However, he always found himself taking classes or activities involving acting, photography or movie production and displayed exceptional mastery over them. Wanting to explore more and pursue his passion, he decided he would go to Los Angeles. Without any spending money, a place to stay or even money for a plane ticket, he remained committed to going there. Soon, he heard of a regional photography competition, which he was convinced he would win because according to him, "I knew before I entered that I had to win something because if God told me to go, how else was I to fund my trip to LA?" He entered and won the 3rd place prize, which helped fund his trip, leaving him with $200 in his wallet when he touched down, but still with no job, car or place to stay.

When in LA, he began washing cars at a car wash and living in youth hostels because his application for the Bally's gym he applied to was misrouted back to Connecticut. Undeterred, he hustled until finally getting a job as a personal trainer at a Bally's gym in Hollywood. He worked tirelessly in building his personal training business until he was able to move out from the hostel and get a place of his own. He watched his monies wisely and saved up enough to shoot his headshot photos with the acclaimed photographer Kevyn Major Howard. Within a day or two of sending out his headshots to soap opera casting directors, he started getting callbacks and began playing small roles on various soap operas before moving back to The Bahamas, where his mother was battling with breast cancer. His mother later succumbed to her illness, but Adam continued to live in The Bahamas, establishing several businesses there as well as becoming a popular face in his country; being featured in a number of local and international movies, TV commercials, TV shows, interviews, radio commercials and print ads.

As an avid moviegoer and a true lover of cinema, Adam would often meticulously break down even the seemingly most obscure elements of a film to figure out why certain films resonate better with people than others. He eventually became more and more frustrated by what seemed to be the deliberate use of the media with subvert tactics he uncovered which were being used to brainwash and steer society down certain paths which he felt were deleterious to the moral fabric of society and are diametrically antagonistic to his own more conservative views. He relentlessly studied TV shows, films, news broadcasts, political races and other media outlets; he witnessed how Christianity was being portrayed while simultaneously other ideologies were being systematically pushed on to the populace. He realized just how powerful a tool the media is and became convinced that filmmakers, performers, video game makers, writers and producers alike, ought to bear some responsibility for the pieces they disseminate to the world, because people are affected by the sights they see and the sounds they collectively hear.

Adam became equally disturbed by the lack of sufficient Christian based film companies which not only deliver powerful messages, but create pieces which are also very marketable, fun-to-watch, well written, well-acted, have great cinematography, visual effects, musical scoring and the many other devices he had been studying over the years which make some movies stand out from others. He wanted to watch great movies and TV shows which are very entertaining, but without all the covertly misleading messages, so he then set out to create a company which would do just that. While some companies would choose to align themselves with non-traditional or non-conservative ideologies, this company would proudly stand behind its own Christian ideology, which would be further echoed in the messages propagated from its productions. Additionally, to further spread the love of God, a portion of the company's profits would help fund charitable organizations.

Piece by piece, after numerous setbacks, Adam worked assiduously in private and on the 27th of February, 2013 - as destiny would have it to be exactly 40 days after his 35th birthday - Adamvision Filmworks was officially registered and founded. Adam's goal is to make a huge, positive impact on the world, one production at a time.
