Yvonne Andersen is a Danish actress, storyteller, author, and creative professional based in Vejle, Denmark. Her acting career began in 2014, when she was discovered by the local film company Vejle Short and the interactive theatre company Dystopia Haunted House.
On screen, Yvonne is known for her work in various TV series, including Sofies Magiske Jul (2016), Himlen over Nicolai (2019), and most recently Hvide Sande II (2024). She has also appeared in numerous short films and feature films, including acclaimed Danish productions such as Word of God, You Dissapear Held for Ransom, and Ingen skal sove. Internationally, she has appeared in the American feature film Happy Ending Sleepover.
In Vejle, Yvonne is particularly well-known for her dedication to interactive theatre and historical storytelling. She has brought to life a range of characters such as the playful Christmas Mother Lurendrejer (2017-2020), Queen Dorothea, wife of King Christian III (2017-2020), and Queen Sofie Amalie of Denmark and Norway at Koldinghus Castle. One of her most memorable roles includes the computer-turned-character M.O.T.H.E.R in Dystopia Haunted House (2018). In addition, she is an experienced historical communicator, bringing the city's past to life through dramatized guided tours and storytelling walks.
Beyond the stage and screen, Yvonne is co-author of the book Piberdrengene, a historical narrative inspired by real events during the First Schleswig War. Through this work, she continues her commitment to sharing history in engaging and accessible ways.
Before pursuing acting, Yvonne worked as a Webmaster and later as Head of Quality work. Her passion for acting was sparked by early roles in the short film Kvindelist and as the Quarantined Woman in Dystopia Haunted House. Since then, she has participated in over 500 productions, constantly developing her skills on screen and stage.
Yvonne has also directed, produced, and worked as a casting director, driven by a desire to understand the creative process from every angle. She continues to refine her craft through ongoing training and is an active member of the online acting community at DASK (Dansk Skuespillerkatalog).
In addition to her artistic work, Yvonne is active in social media, collaborates on short film projects, and works as a gallery sales consultant. Her career is marked by curiosity, dedication, and a relentless drive to bring stories to life - whether on screen, on stage, in the streets of her hometown, or on the pages of a book.
