Fatal Attraction, Rabbit Hole Canceled at Paramount+
Michael Douglas and Glenn Close in Liaison fatale (1987)
Well, this is a bummer.

Paramount+ has canceled the Fatal Attraction reboot and Rabbit Hole after their freshman seasons.

The streaming service announced the shocking news Thursday.

"Fatal Attraction and Rabbit Hole will not be returning for second seasons on Paramount+," a rep for the streamer said via a statement obtained by TV Line.

"We want to thank both series' entire creative teams, crews and the fantastic casts for their dedication to bringing these series to life."

Fatal Attraction premiered April 30 on Paramount+ in the U.S. and international territories.

The streaming service described the series as "a deep dive reimagining of the 1980s cultural touchstone Fatal Attraction through the lens of privilege, personality disorders, family dynamics and murder."

"In the present day, after serving 15 years in prison for the murder of Alexandra Forrest (Lizzy Caplan), Daniel Gallagher (Joshua Jackson) is paroled with the goals of reconnecting with his family and proving his innocence,...

Rise of the Footsoldier: Vengeance review – super-stabby sequel a cut above its predecessors
Vinnie Jones, Keith Allen, Craig Fairbrass, Roland Manookian, and Terry Stone in Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins (2021)
Brisk addition to the British gangster franchise dials down the misogyny and ups the dramatic stakes

This is the sixth instalment in this very British, peripheral gangster franchise set in the 1990s, and maybe I’m going soft but it feels like the quality of the film-making has gone up a skoosh since the last effort, Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins. There is still a lot of repetitive fighting, stabbing and killing sequences – the fans wouldn’t watch if there weren’t – but this time round the script by Andrew Loveday and Jason Maza has more focus and dramatic heft. There’s less crude misogyny (although ladies in lingerie still abound on the fringes of the screen thanks to scenes set in strip clubs), and there’s even an outright queer-sympathetic plot line about a boxer named Billy the Kid (Ben Wilson) who moonlights as a drag queen but is...

Charles Dance Breaks Down Rabbit Hole's Deadly Father-Son Confrontation
Image
Warning: Spoilers for Rabbit Hole season 1, episode 7!As Paramount Plus' fast-paced espionage thriller Rabbit Hole speeds towards the season 1 finale, all eyes are on Charles Dance's Dr. Ben Wilson and his inevitable confrontation with his mysterious enemy Crowley. Revealed to be John Weir's (Kiefer Sutherland) long-lost father early in the season, recent episodes have explored how he returned from faking his own death to train John and his best friend Miles Valence in the fight against Crowley.

Unlike Sutherland's previous series like 24 and Designated Survivor, however, Rabbit Hole heavily focuses on the way John's mind explores every angle of a situation. This leads him to have all-too-real (and potentially very dangerous) visions which he often cannot distinguish from reality. In one of these moments, suffering from the thought that his father may have betrayed Valence and been playing him ever since, John turns the gun on Ben and nearly kills him.

‘Rabbit Hole’ Series Teaser Trailer with Kiefer Sutherland
Image
Kiefer Sutherland admits he’s not feeling well and hasn’t slept for a few days in the opening seconds of Paramount+’s Rabbit Hole teaser trailer. Sutherland’s character John Weir drinks, takes pills, doesn’t trust anyone, and can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not. Deception is reality, and the enemy is everywhere. Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it?

Joining Kiefer Sutherland in the eight-episode season are Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) as Dr. Ben Wilson, Meta Golding (Empire) as Hailey Winton, Enid Graham (Mare of Easttown) as Josephine “Jo” Madi, Jason Butler Harner (Ozark) as Valence, Rob Yang (Succession) as Edward Homm, and Walt Klink (The English) as The Intern.

Paramount+ has set a March 26, 2023 premiere date. The first two episodes will arrive on March 26th, followed by new episodes every Sunday.

Rabbit Hole Trailer: Kiefer Sutherland Channels Jack Bauer For A New Espionage Series
Image
Jack's back, folks! Well, okay, technically this is a completely new and different series named "Rabbit Hole" that has absolutely nothing to do with "24" and technically the character that Kiefer Sutherland is playing in this new series is named John Weir, which feels more like a play on John Wick than Jack Bauer. But when you strip all that away and look at the extremely eerie connection between the two shows -- Kiefer Sutherland is playing some guy who punches people occasionally -- then the similarities simply become too much to ignore. Also, this is where I should probably confess I've never watched an episode of "24" in my life.

In any case, Paramount Pictures has unveiled a brand-new look at their upcoming original show "Rabbit Hole." As the title suggests, it follows an operative by the name of John Weir who finds himself in the midst of an impossible situation,...

Kiefer Sutherland Talks TV’s Evolution via Streaming: ‘We’re Not as Restricted’
Kiefer Sutherland at an event for 24 heures chrono (2001)
Kiefer Sutherland, the two-time Emmy-winning “24” star, said new projects like his upcoming “Rabbit Hole” from Paramount+ showcase television’s evolution via streaming, allowing for more room to play with mature content.

“The real difference for me on a show like ‘Rabbit Hole’ compared to the different iterations that television is going through — certainly from the beginning of ’24’ — is that we’re not as restricted in what kinds of stories we can tell, and we’re not restricted about how we tell them either, whether that be language or sensuality, or even violence,” the veteran actor said during the streamer’s panel at the Winter Television Critics Association press tour held at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena.

“Those restrictions certainly with streaming have been lessened, which is funny because I don’t find myself running around as this character swearing,” he continued. “But the options there, somehow it makes you feel different.

Amazon Orders Dutch Adaptation Of Tuesday’s Child Television’s The CW And ITV2 Slasher-Horror Reality Competition ‘Killer Camp’
Ruud Smulders
Exclusive: Amazon Prime Video is opening its own Killer Camp. The streamer has ordered a Dutch adaptation of Tuesday’s Child Television’s slasher-horror whodunnit reality competition format.

Mediawan’s Skyhigh TV will produce the six-part series, which will see 11 well-known influencers from the Netherlands check in to the 80s American-style ‘Camp Pleasant.’ One of them hatches a murderous plan, forcing them all to ‘fight for their lives’ in a strategic game of cat and mouse while competing to expose the ‘killer’ among them for a share of the €20,000 cash prize.

By day, the campers navigate hilarious challenges as the ‘killer’ attempts to sabotage their efforts, implicating other players in the process. Once darkness descends, one is picked off and ‘murdered’ every night in the most gruesome and elaborately retro-themed ways possible.

Filmed on location at Het Blauwe Meer (The Blue Lake) in the Netherlands, the camp will be staffed by club counsellor,...

Kanye West Documentary Picked Up by Netflix
Ye
Kanye West is getting his own documentary series about his life and career, and Netflix has acquired the multipart project that’s expected to debut later this year, an individual with knowledge of the project and the sale told TheWrap.

Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah, better known as music video duo Coodie & Chike, are directing the still untitled project that’s been put together from never-before-seen home movie footage spread out over 20 years about the rapper. And Billboard is additionally reporting via a source that the deal for the docuseries is for upwards of $30 million. However, an individual with knowledge of the deal described that number as inaccurate.

Coodie & Chike’s production company Creative Control is producing alongside Time Studios. The two music video directors have worked with West on several music videos, including the third iteration of “Jesus Walks.”

Time had no comment on the price reported by Billboard.
