Carmen Coupeau Borras was born in Spain, who possess a deep French Origin, dated since the XII Century, belonging to 'The Knights of the Swords' (Normandy)-according to the Heraldics-, because of her french grandparent (Jose Coupeau) who was an Industrial Engineer and who came to Spain to install the first Thermic Industry Machinery ever in (Vizcaya) Spain, married later to Ana Santos de Cossio (Carmen's spanish grandmother, coming from a family of Writers from Santander)
Carmen Coupeau Borras is the ninth of ten children. Her Father, died in the 2015's Spring (R.I.P.), Jose Coupeau Santos was a pharmacist (following his grand-grandparents spanish ancestors profession), Militar and well known Major of his town, within the 'Picos de Europa', near Cantabria (Spain). Her Mother, Carmen Borras Villalonga (born to Jaime Borras, a Doctor, Inventor of registered-patented Health Recipes, and Musician composer, and Margarita Villalonga, an Embroider and Musician) worked as a Teacher in her natal Menorca, and they both married in Menorca, where he was a Militar then.
Carmen Coupeau Borras had to postpone her true vocation into the Arts in order to study what her parents considered more secure for her: a 'big' academic degree. Carmen also joined different theatre, athletics, volunteering and cultural groups as she could while studying at the University, in various locations in Spain also. She studied Forest and Sustainability, Environmental Engineering with an ERASMUS grant, whilst joining the University of Aberdeen Theatre Company for a period of time during her staying at this University.
Since three years old she was instinctively performing for numerous guests coming at her home to visit her family siblings. But it was after a complicated bike-car accident, where she was driven over by the car, that she had to put all her pieces together, in many ways, and then, rediscover, recycle and cure herself back again into the Arts: Painter, Singer, Dancer, Actor, what challenged her most is Communicating and Creating any Innovative piece of Work to Perform with all kind of people, in different languages, as well as Music, Storytelling and Writing: All of them interconnected.
She's working as a Teacher for Children; Creating New Writting (both for Screen and Theatre) as well as debuting into Film.
