Biography

Matt Cook was born in Los Angeles, CA. He is a signed model with the legendary Wilhelmina Models and has been one of their most sought after male models in the fashion industry. Cook is the first male to ever appear in a Maybeline commercial. Appearing in ads such as, clothing line, "Authur George", gracing the cover of "The Huffington Post", and has appeared in "GQ" Magazine (US).

Transitioning from modeling to pursue his first dream of acting, Matt plays the role of a troubled son named "Joey" on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) hit drama series, Tyler Perry's "If Loving You Is Wrong." Cook has studied acting since he was a teenager appearing in many commercials. He has trained for acting with instructors such as Susan Batson, Bobby Chantz, and Choice Skinner.

Cook was discovered by filmmaker, Tyler Perry, who first saw Matt during a screening of Perry's film, "Single Moms Club." Shortly after the meet, Matt was in several long auditions with Mr.Perry and well-known casting director, Kim Coleman. Matt was originally asked to audition for a small part in one of Mr. Perry's projects but ended up becoming a series regular on "If Loving You Is Wrong." With this and many other projects on the way, Matt Cook hopes to become one of the entertainment industries next big deal.
