Eradicating stigma, increasing access, and enhancing our collective understanding of mental health through education, advocacy and ongoing community engagement is what Spirit is best known for. For more than 20 years, this licensed psychotherapist, media personality, wife and devoted mother of seven has delivered answers to some of life's most challenging issues with empathy, understanding and practical solutions. While best known for her work in television and radio, Spirit is also the Owner and Founder of the behavioral health firm T2S Enterprises, as well as the Founder and Executive Director of the agency's nonprofit organization, T2S C.A.R.E.S., based in Atlanta, GA. There, she spearheads a global media, marketing and consulting team alongside a group practice of licensed therapists, while supervising the development of new and emerging clinicians around the world. Her work emphasizes the importance of preventing and resolving mental illness as well as the development and implementation of community mental health and wellness initiatives that focus on accessibility and sustainability. Spirit's most noteworthy goals are currently the implementation of a national mental health program that she has created which provides school-based mental health services for students grades K-12 while identifying and training the next generation of emerging mental health professionals, a global mental health respite, repository and documentary which focus on integrative global health and wellness driven by mental health stakeholders across borders. Her efforts have garnered her "The Guardian Award, (Silence the Shame, 2021)" a "Medal of Honor (Liberia, West Africa 2023)," and a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award (United States, 2024).
