Secondly I want to reduce the number of projects so I will not work in more than five films a year from 1996.

If I get a good film, a good character, then I have no headache about the heroine. The character is my main priority.

Entering the movies was an instantaneous decision of mine which greatly paid off. When I saw the positive & enthusiastic reactions of people for me everywhere after the release of Keyamot Theke Keyamot I gained so much motivation to build my profession in the movie industry. As the super success of my first film took me to the number 1 spot so my main objective is to remain there till the end of my career.

Many people told me to not talk about my marriage for the sake of my career. But I didn't share the same opinion as them. Because I believe one's career doesn't depend on their personal & family life. It depends on how much professional & talented the individual is.

I have been involved with art and culture since childhood. When I was only 6 years old, I sang Ferdous Waheed's Mamunia at a function in Sylhet in front of the then President. Then I used to read the news, recite poems and sing songs on children's programs aired on TV. Later I started acting. In 1985, I acted for the first time in the drama Akash Chowa. After that I acted in a music video for Hanif Sanket's magazine program. Then finally in 1989 I got formally registered as an artist under BTV.
