Raul Walder

Raul Walder was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. His acting career began at a very young age in his home country working in several TV and film projects. He then graduated from the University of Miami with a double Major in Dramatic Arts and Advertising, as well as a Minor in FIlm. His most recent films as an actor have premiered at major and distinguished film festivals around the world, like Screamfest LA, HBO New York Film Festival, FilmQuest, LALIFF, Camerimage, ARPA International Film Festival, Seattle Latino Film Festival, and others. I addition, the feature film "Nereus", in which he stars as one of the lead roles, was also released in theaters in more than 20 countries worldwide and it's currently available for VOD in the US. Raul will soon be seen in the upcoming TV Series "Second Chances", starring Denise Richards, and the feature film "Between the Aisles" by director Anthony Lucero. As a screenwriter, Raul has written and developed several projects which have garnered him recognition in some of the most recognized screenplay festivals and competitions around the world. His TV Pilot "Los Lobos Blanco" (aka: The White wolves) was selected as Project of the Month at Filmarket Hub in December 2023. It was also a semifinalist in the prestigious ScreenCraft Drama Screenplay Competition in 2021 and a Quarterfinalist in the Santa Barbara International Screenplay Awards in 2022. Likewise, his feature screenplay "Kapüy" has won the 'Wave D'ore Award' at Bondi Screenplay Competition in 2023 for "Best Feature Screenplay", as well as "Best Foreign Screenplay" at New York Script Awards in 2023. "Kapüy" was also selected into the quarterfinalist round of the WeScreenplay Diverse Voices Lab in 2023. His latest short film, "TLG", which he wrote, produced, and starred in is currently on its film festival circuit and has already been selected at Screamfest LA, FilmQuest, and Seattle Latino Film Festival in2023, and will premiering at the Ibero-American FIlm Festival Miami in February 2024. Raul is the founder of "Beach House Films" and the author of the short films "Cicatrices", "Cold-Blooded Animals", and "Bleeding Scars", as well as one of the co-writers for the upcoming feature films "Pretty Russell" and "Cruz y el reflejo de Tezcatl".
