Mike Wickman

American actor and producer born in Scottsdale, AZ. His mother Dianne Lynn (Winchell) is a an entrepreneur originally from Ohio. His father, Donald Jack Wickman, was an entrepreneur, police officer, and member of the 82nd Airborne, who owned various small businesses including a movie rental and wholesale business which his mother ran during his early childhood. Originally named Michael Sterling Bailey, he was raised by his mother and from age 4 on Don Wickman, Michael proudly changed his last name from Bailey to Wickman in 1992, when he was adopted. It was during the ages of 4 and 8 that Mike was heavily influenced and exposed to the movie world. His father Don and mother Lynn spent much family time together watching and working around movies from 1983-1988. Don Wickman was an avid movie fan and Lynn was and still, a successful business woman. The family movie business was moved from Colorado to Dauphin Island, AL in 1986. In 1987 management made some huge mistakes and bankrupted First Movie Exchange (The wholesale movie business).

The interaction that took place in Michael's early childhood years, involvement with plays and movies would later be the catalyst to inspire him to pursue acting and the entertainment business. He grew up in Dauphin Island, AL and spent 26 years there. After 1988 his parents Don and Lynn decided to start a souvenir and gift business in the location of the out of business, movie business. They still owned the property and now they were heavily planted in Alabama. The business was called the Treasure Mart. In 1990 the Treasure Trove was opened at another, better location on Dauphin Island. Treasure Mart was closed down in 1991 and Treasure Trove became the main business owned and run by Lynn and Don until the present. Mike grew up helping out with the family business off and on until 1996, when at 16 he left to go to a pre-college boarding school, The Alabama School Of Math & Science (A.S.M.S).

Mike had several businesses of his own from 2001 to 2014. He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 2011, minoring in film and acting while in engineering school and was all but 1 credit from having a minor in theatre when he graduated. His interest was always in film and acting, but he was told to get a degree in something more stable like engineering and do acting and film as a hobby by his friends and family. He spent from 2011-2013, trying to find work in engineering in an unstable economy. After struggling to find work in engineering, and having a couple of businesses that struggled to get off the ground, it was decided that he should go after his true passion and love of many years, acting and entertainment. He left Alabama and drove to Los Angeles, CA in February 2014 to pursue his acting career full time and no longer as just a passionate hobby.

In 2008, he was part of The Saints of Mt. Christopher directed in Mobile, Alabama by Shane Dean. In January 2014 he played the part of a FBI detective in Cat Run 2, shot in Slidell Louisiana and directed by John Stockwell. Since February 2014, he has been involved as an extra in several shows including: C.S.I, The Millers, Glee, Hit The Floor, The Visitors (Spielberg), A to Z, Castle, NCIS LA, About a Boy, Mad Men, Pretty Little Liars, Feed Me, Togetherness, Matador, Jennifer Falls, Jem (The Movie), Benched, Mistresses, News Room and Chasing Life. He was on Fast and Furious 7 with Michelle Rodriguez and Vin Diesel in July 2014. Mike has produced and acted in many of his own skits, shorts, commercials and web series. He continues to work at landing principle and speaking TV Series roles as well as roles in films and commercials. He acted in and produced The feature film Visage (Silence Has No Color) and is set to release it in late 2016 or early 2017. He has plans to act in and produce many more movies, television shows, commercials and music projects in the future years to come.
