As a performer, Rodger Allen Jones has used both his singing and acting abilities, not only across the US before crowds large and small, but has also performed in Canada and Central America. His acting work has been comprised of many genres from comedy, musicals, to outdoor Shakespeare venues, and from solo performance skits to ensemble work. His experience has led him to stage, film, television, and commercials as actor, singer, director, and writer. He has garnered several awards related to his work.

Rodger has been featured as a singer on numerous recordings as a studio vocalist, with several singing groups, and as a soloist. His performance styles of music range from Classical, Gospel, to Contemporary Rock.

Born in Illinois, and raised in Indiana and Wisconsin, he is definitely of Midwestern simplicity. In his mid-twenties he moved to the Los Angeles area where he improved his skills. A few years later Rodger moved to Dallas, Texas and did photo advertising modeling for magazines, including in-flight magazine featured on Commercial Airliners. He was also a founding member of the performance production group Priority Players which focused on family friendly dinner theatre stage plays, skits, and musical performances. In addition to performing he has also directed, wrote scripts, and co-wrote a children's musical with his wife and another production member which was debuted in the early 90's.

During the summers of 2005-2008, Rodger helped to establish and lead a Performing Arts/Film/Music/Art program for International High School students each summer that met on the campuses of Columbia University in NY and UCLA in Los Angeles. "It was a passion of mine to help students learn and experience what dedication it takes to perform as a professional, as well as expose them to individuals who were involved in the professional performing arts venues across the spectrum." Students came from multiple countries around the globe and converged on the US to learn new skills, study, perform, create, and attend professional shows. Part of the program exposure was to work with cast members of 'Lion King' and 'Wicked', as well as a creative film project with the New York Film Academy on the streets of NY and Universal movie sets in LA.
