Kera Ioane is a queer, non-binary Samoan artist who was predominately found through YouTube sketch comedy but has since become known for their singing and songwriting.
In August 2022, Kera Ioane released their debut album, Scare Book. The project is a transcendent journey through resonating darkness forged in raw emotion and moments of whimsy. They describe the process of creating it as "cathartic and regenerative. The songs are pages ripped straight from my journal."
Since writing and producing Scare Book, Kera has been fine-tuning their craft and showcasing their introspective lyricism and effervescent vocals in the R&B/Soul genre. They are inspired to create music as a form of healing with the hope of affirming listeners who feel unseen and unheard in their struggles to survive.
