Kostis Charamountanis is an upcoming self-taught film director, screenwriter, editor, and composer whose distinctive voice has earned international acclaim. A 2020 SNF ARTWORKS Fellow, his debut feature, Kyuka: Before Summer's End (2024), premiered at Cannes (L'ACID) and won four awards at the 65th Thessaloniki International Film Festival. The film, distributed across several countries, had its U.S. premiere at MoMA's 54th New Directors/New Films Festival, and in 2025, he received the Best Newcomer Director Award from the Hellenic Film Academy (Iris Awards).
