Sean Bell is an Australian director, writer and producer. He has made feature films, shorts, commercials and TV series. He has worked for TV networks BBC, SBS, ABC, Foxtel, Seven, Ten, NITV and Nova Entertainment.
A filmmaker of extremely clear vision, Aussie Sean Bell has been crafting sci-fi, horror and drama stories for 20 years, and scooping up awards internationally. He blends naturalistic performances with vivid visuals and compelling soundtracks, and is increasingly passionate about presenting mental illness stories as high concept genre films.
His screen career began in 2005 at Australian multicultural TV network SBS, and expanded to working for major TV networks in Australia, production companies and advertising agencies.
A tireless, driven self-starter, Sean Bell taught himself to make films, learning the many roles of writer, director, producer, fundraiser, art director, set builder, editor, animator, composer and VFX artist.
Notably, his 2015 short film 'F Meat' premiered at Fantasia Film Festival and won Best Australian Short Film twice. His 2021 short 'The Junket' premiered at ScreamFest and was inspired by the years Sean spent filming celebrity interviews for Nova FM. He won the 2019 Australian Commercial Radio Award for his 'Ride Along 2' stunt video starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart.
Sean Bell's debut feature film 'Electric Feel' is a sci-fi that was a quarter finalist in the Final Draft Big Break screenplay contest.
