Lydia Maria Makrides

Lydia Maria Makrides is a German actress who began performing in the children's chorus of the Leipzig Opera before appearing in productions at the Centraltheater Leipzig and the Schauspiel Leipzig youth theater. She continued her training in England with the Gloucestershire Youth Theatre Company and the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham, later studying at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Makrides has appeared in a range of German film and television productions, including the series Brigade du crime (2001) and Morden im Norden (2012), as well as TV films such as Dimitrios Schulze (2016) and Neben der Spur ist auch ein Weg (2022). She also held a recurring role in the Netflix series Dark (2017).
