Official US Trailer for 'Bad Boy' Series from the Creator of 'Euphoria'

"True story, I swear." Netflix has revealed an official trailer for Bad Boy, an Israeli series from the original creators of the Israeli version of "Euphoria". This series originally premiered in 2023 at the Toronto Film Festival, and was picked up by Netflix there. It's now set for a streaming debut worldwide on Netflix this May. From Ron Leshem, creator of the original Israeli "Euphoria" from 2012 (which was remade in the HBO version), comes Bad Boy, the award-winning new series about youth, survival, and redemption. Inspired by true events, the series follows Dean, a teen imprisoned in juvenile detention who discovers the power of creativity to heal. Starring Daniel Chen, Havtamo Farda, Neta Plotnik, and Guy Manster as Dean. Following the massive success of its teen-centered drama, Adolescence, Netflix is preparing to welcome another moving and captivating piece of television in just a few weeks with the May 2 arrival of Bad Boy. Today, Collider is thrilled to share the exclusive first look at the trailer for the award-winning series that hails from the original Euphoria’s co-creator, Ron Leshem and filmmaker HagarBenAsher who also directed the entire series. Based on true events, the Hebrew-language drama promises to pull audiences in and hold on tightly as it follows one young man’s nightmarish experience with a juvenile detention center. Haifa Film Festival creates English-language script development programme (exclusive)
The Haifa Script Distillery will support Israeli writers.

Israel’s Haifa International Film Festival (September 22 - October 1) has launched a script development programme called the Haifa Script Distillery to support Israeli writers to develop English-language film and TV scripts.

The initiative has been unveiled during this year’s festival where 20 projects chosen from 400 entries are being presented (See full list below). Six to eight works will be shortlisted and will each receive a development grant of 50,000 Nis. Each writer will be mentored and receive training from tutors and supporting partners.
