Monique Creber
Monique was born the oldest of four children in Winnipeg, where from a very early age, she took a keen interest in singing, keyboards, acting and performance. After graduating from Westwood Collegiate, she pursued a duo career as a singer and an entrepreneur who owned and managed a music school which grew to an enrollment of 500 students. Finding that the growing business interfered too much with her performance time, Monique sold it and moved to Vancouver in the 90s, where she married pianist/composer Michael Creber. In 1999, daughter Michelle was born and before too long, Michelle was joining her parents on stage and in the studio.

Once on the West Coast, Monique started the next phase of her busy career, focusing more on performance, producing and studio work. She also started learning a new side of the entertainment business, becoming a manager for her daughter's career.

As a singer, Monique's voice can be heard on animated series such as My Little Pony, Friendship Is Magic, Martha Speaks & George of the Jungle, jingles, commercials, albums, audio books and soundtracks including Space TV's The Collector; a Leo Award-winning episode for best Musical Score.

As a performer, highlights include appearances on the Vicki Gabereau Show, Urban Rush, CBC Radio's The Early Edition and in the Vancouver International Jazz Festival as well as featured performances with Canadian luminaries such as The Nylons, Michael Burgess, Shari Ulrich, Jim Byrnes and the Rankin Family Sisters. Monique's voice is most often compared to that of Karen Carpenter and as such, Monique has been a featured guest vocalist in a variety of symphony orchestra concerts performing a Carpenters tribute. She has also been active in the Vancouver theatre scene as a musical director for many productions (including Wizard of Oz, Sound of Music, Joseph, Hairspray, FAME, Little Women, Grease, Annie, Guys & Dolls and Aladdin) and as an actor (including "Marmee" in Little Women, "Ebenezer's Mother" in A Christmas Carol and "Mrs. Greer" in Annie).

Monique now has over 30 years of teaching experience as a singing, keyboard, acting & performance coach. In addition, she has trained teachers from all over the world and takes a special interest in coaching vocals for actors singing in film & TV productions. More recently, Monique added Personal Management to her repertoire and is working extensively with three busy young and upcoming artists; her daughter Michelle as well as Natalie Sharp and Gabriel C. Brown (aka Black Gryph0n).
