Domaine Javier is a multiracial American actress, writer, TV personality, and California native. A high achiever academically, she holds nine college degrees, including five associate degrees (one in Fine & Applied Arts with a concentration in Performing Arts), a bachelor's degree in Nursing, and three master's degrees in Nursing (Leadership & Management, Education, and Family Nurse Practitioner). She also holds a valid FNP certification, a California Registered Nursing license, and a Public Health Nursing certification.
Javier made history in October 2010 as the first-ever trans woman crowned homecoming queen in the United States.
Her public breakthrough came in 2011 with an appearance on MTV's True Life during its 14th season, later returning for two additional episodes. She went on to build a career in acting - starting with featured background work in film and television and progressing to speaking roles and leading parts across screen and stage.
In June 2020, she again broke barriers by becoming the first openly trans woman featured on the Food Network.
In 2022, the United States House of Representatives honored Javier for her outstanding volunteer work and community engagement, particularly during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
