‘Lookout’ Trailer – Fire Watcher Encounters Evil in Isolated Sci-Fi Thriller

No one knows if they’re truly alone in Lookout.

The sci-fi thriller will be released on VOD as well as Blu-ray and DVD on September 2 via Jackrabbit Media.

Seeking peace away from her turbulent life, a young woman accepts a job as a fire lookout at a remote wilderness tower. As she settles into her new role, eerie disturbances and strange occurrences begin to unfold, and she must uncover the chilling secrets that disrupt her isolation before it’s too late.

Filmed on location in Arizona’s Coconino National Forest, the movie is directed by Stefan Colson and written by Brandon Cahela.

Meghan Carrasquillo stars with Trent Culkin, John Marrs, Mitch Tellez, Robert Clark, Jim Round, Braden McCawley, Cara Leoni, and Ryan Ellerbe.

Between movies and series episodes, I’ve probably seen a few thousand westerns. Some have crossed over with sci-fi and the supernatural, like Cowboys & Aliens, Jonah Hex or a number of totally forgettable flicks pitting cowpokes against vampires, zombies or other things that go bump in the night. This low-budget affair, The Ghosts Of Red Ridge, breaks a bit of new ground… more uniquely, perhaps, than laudably.

Red Ridge is a dusty, nowhere little town of dashed hopes. It was founded on the promise of a gold rush that never materialized, leaving a handful of bored residents with nowhere better to go. Even the local outlaw gang that harasses the folks can’t rustle up enough loot to make a decent living. Jackrabbit wraps production on action western ‘Ghosts Of Red Ridge’, showing first footage in Berlin (exclusive)

Arizona-based Jackrabbit Studios, the production arm of Jackrabbit Media, has wrapped on its latest action western film Ghosts Of Red Ridge and will show EFM buyers first footage in Berlin next month.

Stefan Colson makes his feature directorial debut based on a screenplay by Brandon Cahela about a sheriff and his deputy who dealing with a band of outlaws in the dying town of Red Ridge.

To complicate matters the sheriff is haunted by visions while managing a mysterious stranger locked up in his dilapidated jail. Production took place in Benson, Arizona.
