Rene's production company "Red Letter Day Pictures" have produced some of South Africa's biggest local box office earners, including "Vaselinetjie" (#2 Box office 2017) and "Hollywood in my Huis (#5 at the box office 2015), whilst Toorbos achieved the second-highest rating at the box office in 2020.
