‘Tacoma Fd’ Canceled After Four Seasons at TruTV
Image
Comedy series “Tacoma Fd” has been canceled at TruTV after four seasons, Variety has confirmed.

The series originally debuted on the basic cabler back in 2019. The show was part of the network’s push into original scripted series, alongside other shows like “At Home With Amy Sedaris,” “I’m Sorry,” and “Bobcat Goldthwait’s Misfits & Monsters.” However, TruTV’s original programming lineup has been winnowed down to virtually nothing in the past few years, with the only original series still on the network being the hidden camera show “Impractical Jokers.”

Likewise, fellow TNets like TBS and TNT — all of which fall under the Warner Bros. Discovery umbrella — have gone from notable rosters of scripted shows to having none. Most recently, the TBS comedy series “Miracle Workers” was canceled after four seasons. That show featured a cast that included Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi.

Tacoma Fd's McConky-Penisi Family Tree Explained
Image
Tacoma Fd features the McConky-Penisi Family, but the show's humor comes from the characters and their relationships with each other. Eddie Penisi, Jr. is the class clown and jokester of the firehouse, but he still maintains good relationships with his co-workers and family. Lucy McConky provides some female power to the show as a firefighter and shares a complicated but ultimately healthy relationship with her father, Terry.

Although Tacoma Fd tells the story of the firefighters at Station 24 in Tacoma, Washington, the show is also about family — specifically, the McConky-Penisi Family. The truTV sitcom television series was created by Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme (also two of the show's stars) and has lasted for four seasons — it is still waiting for news regarding a possible season 5 renewal. Its humor is pulled from the characters and their relationships with one another, and also the fact that this group of firefighters...

Jake Paul and Doctor Mike are getting back in the ring, but they won’t be boxing against other influencers
Image
On October 29, YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul will reenter the ring to take on a legendary opponent. Paul, who is still undefeated as a professional boxer, will face longtime UFC titleholder Anderson Silva. Another influencer will be featured as part of the undercard: Mike Varshavski, known online as Doctor Mike, will take on professional fighter Chris Avila.

Most Valuable Promotions is organizing the event, which will take place at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona. For Paul, the clash with Silva will be a long-awaited return to professional boxing. After defeating Tyron Woodly for the second time last year, the younger Paul brother scheduled a bout against Hasim Rahman Jr., but the seasoned pro dropped out after he refused to go down to 200 lbs. for the fight.

In May, Varshavski outlasted Ian ‘iDubbbz’ Washburn in the main card of an influencer boxing event called the Creator Clash. Now, he’ll make his professional debut against Avila,...
