Richard Rheem in Screen Test: Richard Rheem (1966)
One of the lesser known figures from the cycle of artists and friends of Andy Warhol Richard Rheem was a young Californian from a wealthy family who was visiting his uncle in New York City when he met Warhol at a party. At the artist suggestion, thanks to the young man's good looks and presence, Warhol asked Rheem if he wanted to be in the movies, to which he positively replied.

Rheem was the star of Screen Test: Richard Rheem (1966), one of a number in the Screen Test series where Warhol filmed young actors, artists and musicians presenting the people's many expressions and reactions and later on he played Governor John Connally in the recreation of Kennedy's assassination in Since (1966). He also appeared in "Mrs. Warhol" (1966), a documentary on Andy's mom.

According to a biographer, he and Warhol dated for a time in the late 1960's, exchanging several letters over the years and maintaining the friendship even after the end of the relationship.

Nothing more can be found about Richard's whereabouts, if alive or dead, or if he ventured into other obscure movies over the decades or changed of career for good.
