Biography

Actor and model from Senegal, born in 1982, he studied theater and started working with Baobab Company in Dakar. After that, he began a career in fashion. He modeled for several brands during Dakar Fashion Week and, in 2007, he was crowned Golden Boy of West Africa. That's when he got noticed by film director Moussa Touré who chose him for his film "La Pirogue", which was presented at Cannes Film Festival and Festival International du Film Francophone de Namur (FIFF) where it won, in 2013, the Best Film Award. He was among the actors of the arthouse film "Intercourses" by the Danish director Jesper Just in 2013 and, in the same year, he went to New York to take part in the film "Des étoiles", directed by Dyana Gaye. His interpretation won him several awards. For Italian television he worked in the series "L'isola di Pietro" in 2018 and "ZeroZeroZero" in 2019.
