Biography

Having graduated with a Bachelor's in Cinema and Spanish and a Master's in Business Administration from the Virginia Commonwealth University, Marah Archer seeks to craft stories reflective of reality's dark hilarity. Examples of prior production experience include her roles as producer of several NYU and independent short films (one which she accrued $22,081.89 worth of in-kind donations for an $8,000 budget) and as a casting and background assistant on AMC's television series TURN Season 1. Her graduate education culminated in her attendance of the American Film Market in which she appears in the commercial as well as a TEDxVCU talk entitled the "Socioeconomic Implications of Film Financing." After receiving her MBA, Marah moved to New York to study comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater. Now she lives in south-central Ohio where she can focus on producing her first feature film Tamar Buys a Car with principal photography set for Fall 2021.
