Chia-Yen Ko, Sunny Wang, and Jen-Shuo Cheng in Abyssal Spider (2020)
New Trailer for China's 'Abyssal Spider' Movie Has A Lot of Spiders
Chia-Yen Ko, Sunny Wang, and Jen-Shuo Cheng in Abyssal Spider (2020)
"Now our ship is abandoned by the gods already." Oh no no no no. Another new official trailer has arrived for the freaky deaky Chinese horror film Abyssal Spider. We featured the first teaser trailer last month, but the footage didn't have a single shot of any spider in it. A new trailer from Taiwan has been found online and it's packed with spiders - small ones and a few medium size ones. And there's probably one giant one that they battle at the end. The Chinese release title for this is offiically Mad Spider Sea, which is just as cool as the other title Abyssal Spider. Most of the film takes place on a fishing boat vessel, starring Sunny Wang, Cheng Jen-Shuo, Ke Jiayan, Li Liren, Li Kangsheng, Lian Kai, Xie Peien, Jiu Kong, and Chunfeng. After complaints about "no spiders" in the first trailer, the screenwriter went on...

Qiao mai feng zhang (2020)
Official US Trailer for Chinese Romance 'Wild Grass' with Elane Zhong
Qiao mai feng zhang (2020)
"I was once told that beauty should never be shared." Shanghai Jingshu Pictures has released an official US trailer for the Chinese romantic drama titled Wild Grass, marking the feature directorial debut of director Xu Zhanxiong. The film is a love story and generational drama following the intersecting city lives of several young people in China during the 1990s. In the 1990s, the two girls and a boy who first entered the society tested the incredible destiny they experienced in the pursuit of a new life. In the flourishing 1990s, they rose up with the dream and they survived. Starring Ye Gao, Ma Sichun, Elane Zhong, Johnny Huang, and Sunny Wang. It wasn't expecting much from this, but it's ravishing trailer. I love the vibrant title cards, I love the dance sequences, the film looks passionate and intensely emotional. This might be a nice discovery. Here's the official US trailer...

Sea Fog : Les Clandestins (2014)
First Trailer for Chinese Gigantic 'Abyssal Spider' Sea Monster Movie
Sea Fog : Les Clandestins (2014)
Holy sea monster! Deep Joy from Taiwan has debuted a new official trailer for a Chinese epic monster movie titled Abyssal Spider, which seems to be a 2020 update on the title. One of the posters (seen below) lists the title as Spiders (more than one?!) while the original Chinese title is Sea Fog (not to be confused with the Korean film also titled Sea Fog). This is another of these trendy don't-mess-with-nature or nature-will-get-angry eco monster movies, but this time the big bad creature is a Giant (massive!) underwater spider of some sorts. Obviously it comes from the deep abyss of the ocean, hence the title Abyssal Spider. This first trailer is focused entirely on the crew of a fishing boat caught in a bad storm, and there is no shot of the big spider. It's only seen on the two posters so far and it's frickin' huge and scary as hell.

When one of the first lines in the film is “if anything goes wrong this could be the next Titanic” you know you’re in for the next Titanic… Whether thats a disaster within the film, or the disaster of a film, depends entirely on your penchant for the genre and gloriously over the top productions which feature an international cast hamming it up in 70s disaster movie fashion!

An English-language, Malaysian-filmed sci-fi thriller, Lost in the Pacific sees group of VIP elite passengers (the types of which wouldn’t be out of place in the likes of Airport ’77 or The Poseidon Adventure: a pop star, a former boxer,...
