What is Honey Lemon Soda About?

Honey Lemon Soda centers on a shy high school student named Uka Ishimori (nicknamed "Stone"). She meets a boy named Kai Miura, whose appearance and personality remind her of a honey lemon soda hence the title.

The two become closer as they acquainted better and have a deeper relationship. Kai is also inspiring Uka to be a confident person as she navigates the difficulties of high school.

It was announced on Aug 30, 2024, that Shinichi Fukuda’s My Dress Up Darling manga is being adapted into a live-action drama series.

The series will start airing on Oct 8, 2024, in the Dramaism slot on Mbs and TBS.

My Dress Up Darling live-action series will star Riko Nagase and Kouta Nomura in the lead roles as Marin Kitagawa and Wakana Gojo respectively.

Riko Nagase expressed her excitement about the role, stating, “I’m Riko Nagase, playing the role of Marin Kitagawa. When I first read the original manga, I found Wakana’s earnestness and Marin’s charm to be really striking. Popular manga series My Dress-Up Darling is set to receive an official live-action TV drama, revealing its release date along with first cast members, statements and costumed images.

Via Comic Natalie, My Dress-Up Darling will receive a live-action series in Japan. The series, titled the same as Shinichi Fukuda's popular manga, will air on Mbs and TBS starting on Oct. 8, 2024. The first images of the cast, starring Riko Nagase as Marin Kitagawa and Kota Nomura as Wakana Gojo, were also revealed. Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for its latest live-action original series from Japan, Burn the House Down, set to launch globally on July 13.

A domestic revenge thriller, the show stars Mei Nagano (My Love Story!, Hanbun, Aoi) as Anzu Murata, a young woman whose childhood was torn apart when her family’s home burned down, prompting her parents to divorce. Convinced that her ailing mother was wrongly accused of the conflagration, Anzu goes undercover to work as a housekeeper for the suspicious woman who married her father in the wake of the blaze — convinced that she can gather evidence and discover the truth of what really happened.

The show is an adaptation of the popular manga Burn the House Down (Mitarai-ke Enjō Suru), which ran in Japan from 2017 to 2021. Kodansha USA Publishing began releasing the manga in English in June 2022.
