XiRen Wang is a Chinese-Canadian actress known for portraying sharp-witted operatives, enigmatic femmes fatales, and steely survivors with cerebral fire. Born to science academics and raised across Asia, Europe, and North America, her multi-hyphenate path was set in motion at age four. She trained as a classical pianist, speaks 6 languages out of the 10 studied, and excelled in both music and debate. Graduating cum laude in Political Science, International Studies, and Music, she was endorsed as a Rhodes Scholar candidate and began a career in diplomacy-until a talent scholarship rerouted her life, and uprooted her for the 8th time.
XiRen relocated to New York to study acting at the New York Film Academy and piano and composition at Juilliard, where a piano faculty member was prepping her for Carnegie Hall. Between practicing, she booked nearly every "Asian stripper" role filmed in the city, from the Opium Den created by Steven Soderbergh in The Knick to being the pole double for Constance Wu in Hustlers.
Further screen credits include Gotham (FOX), Bull (CBS), and Babygirl (w/ Nicole Kidman). A multilingual voice artist, her work includes Past Lives, Mandarin dub for Simone Biles, and global campaigns for Tiffany & Co, Mercedez, and SKII.
XiRen is also the creator of Xiren Lets Talk, a bilingual talk show airing in New York and Los Angeles, delivering sharp cultural commentary to a diaspora audience. A former Miss Chinese America finalist, she served as a SINO TV host, is a published writer, builds hi-fi speakers by hand, and knows her way around a Baccarat table.
